About Us

The Past.
The Loveland family has been in the block-paving business for over thirty years. They know nothing else. As Guy and Simon grew up they watched their father Dave working in the trade, with their mum Sue doing all the paperwork, and each brother decided to join their dad as they left school. With Guy and Simon both now in their thirties the family as a whole have more than sixty years experience between them.
S&D Paving initially began as Simon and Dave (S&D) started their own business while Guy was separately running his own firm. In the nineties the family decided to join forces but because the name S&D Paving was already known throughout their contacts they decided to stick with it.

The Present.
Guy and Simon are now the two partners in the firm and jointly run the business, which is still a predominantly family affair.
The business is based in Northampton and have around ten gangs working at any one time but they carry out jobs all over the country. From a small driveway to a whole town centre, S&D Paving have undertaken contracts for many clients and contractors for many years with no more advertising than a small Yellow Pages advert and their word of mouth reputation.

The Future.
After honing their skills with little or no advertising the brothers have chosen to place S&D Paving solidly on the block-paving map. Each one of the firm's vans has been sign written, the website has gone live, the Company sponsors Carl Sainsbury, one of Northampton's premier professional golfers, as well as sponsoring local UCL football team Long Buckby.
